Attachment issues

Attachment problems can have a significant impact on a child's emotional health and development. It often manifests itself in difficulty establishing stable and secure relationships, both with caregivers and peers. As a parent, you may see signs such as lack of trust, difficulty making friendships or violent reactions at unexpected times. These challenges can also affect the child's motor development, as emotional states and psychological well-being are closely linked to the body. Attachment problems can cause stress, anxiety and increased alertness that can limit the child from being himself or herself. Muscle tension or breathing may change, making balance, coordination, strength or flexibility suddenly challenging. Concentration and the ability to follow instructions may also become more difficult, which can lead to reduced enjoyment of movement and participation in physical activities.

By taking specific training in attachment issues, children can be supported in our practice. The focus is not only on improving motor skills, but also on building confidence and emotional stability.

We use specific techniques aimed at increasing body awareness, encouraging self-regulation and building self-confidence in children with attachment problems. This not only contributes to better motor development, but also strengthens the foundation for healthy social interactions.

Perhaps you recognize this in children in your environment or in your own child and you have a question about this. Please feel free to contact us and together we will see how we can best help your child.
